About The Convivium
The Convivium is a gathering place for Christians in Central Texas who want to think carefully about faith, culture, and life together.
The name comes from the Latin word for a feast or banquet — a meal shared among friends. We believe the best conversations happen around a table, where ideas and bread are broken together.
What We Do
The Convivium Discourse is our flagship gathering: an evening of guided discussion on topics that matter — theology, culture, work, family, politics, and the life of the mind. We read. We discuss. We disagree well. We leave sharper than we came.
These aren't lectures. They're conversations among people who take both faith and ideas seriously, and who believe the Christian tradition has something vital to offer the questions of our time.
What We Believe
We're ecumenical — drawing from the breadth of the Christian tradition rather than a single denomination. We're serious about Scripture, the creeds, and the Great Tradition, but we're not a church. We're a community of friends learning to think and live faithfully in a complex world.
Where We Are
We're based in Temple, Texas, and we're just getting started. If you're hungry for substantive conversation and good company, we'd love to have you join us.
